Knowing Math

is Knowing Life …
“Measure what can be measure and make measurable what we
cannot be measured”. A quotation presented by Galileo Galilei that explains
how math works. Math is simply the solution. It is not just the problem that
we solve but the solution that we presents, either on the subject itself or in
real life situation. Math is an applied knowledge of understanding. It doesn’t
just focus on numbers, equations, or computation but in the way how we
understand the process that enlightens the equations or problems given to
us.

Mathematics revolves all around us and it is there in everything

we do. No matter where we are, what we are doing , math is
there being applied but mostly not being noticed. From the
smallest unit of life, math is there, up to the wide universe above
earth. It helps build our lives and the society we are living in.
Having the knowledge on math enhances our way of living. It
leads to a better reasoning and thinking. Critical thinking skills
are being developed wherein we observe, analyze and evaluate
different situations. Solving problems becomes easier and coping
up with those different problems is equal to the right answer. In
order to reach a goal, which is to find answer and come up with
the right decision, Mathematics serves to evaluate and improve
the quality of information in the face of uncertainty, to present
and clarify options, to provide available alternatives , to see
consequences and to control the smaller decisions. Also, different
areas in the field of Mathematics are essential for making difficult
choices on politics or public policy, health, business,
manufacturing, finance, law, and other human endeavors.
Mathematics is always in between and balances every situations
in our daily life.

Mathematics is simple, it is just our understanding towards it makes

it complicated. Being part of our life, it becomes a great help to every
corner of human life. It works in a diverse setting of the world, not just in
building the community but on every single creation. It develops our
analytical and critical thinking skills and helps us on solving problems and
decision-making. Math does not present problems but offers solutions.
Understanding Math equals to the positive outlook towards life. Knowing
Math is knowing life.
