Bishop’s Committee Meeting

October 10, 2010

Present: Jessie Cragg, Krista Baker, Kyle Miller, Laura Gruber, Maria Evans, Pete Kelly,
Carrol Davenport, Peter Van Horne and Wynne Wilbur.

1. Peter opened the meeting with a prayer.

2. The meeting minutes from the Sept 12 meeting were moved to be accepted. The
motion was seconded and the minutes were approved.

3. The Interim Vicar Report was presented by Peter. Peter will be visiting family in
Iowa City the weekend of Oct 16, so will not be arriving in Kirksville until Saturday.
He reminded us that his last Sunday with us will be November 21st.

4. The Associate Priest Report was presented by Carrol. The Taize Service tonight, Oct
10 will focus on bullying. Individuals from various groups in the community have
been invited to attend the service. Carrol will be away the weekend of October 16-
17. The weekend of Nov 6-7 Carrol will be meeting with the children for an
instructed Eucharist which will include baking bread and bringing the bread for the
Eucharist on Sunday, Nov 7.

5. Business items:

• The Finance reports for August were presented. A motion was made to
accept the reports pending final audit and approval. The motion was seconded
and the reports were accepted.

• Annual Giving Campaign began today. Following are the plans for the
campaign. Each week there will be a blurb in the enews. We all agreed the
Bishop’s Committee will present their pledge cards together at the offertory on
Nov 14.
