Work Experience
Lifetimes on Riverside (Windsor): July 2018-Current (want to replace)
I currently work as an RPN Part-time Casual with Lifetimes on Riverside which is a
Retirement Residence. My main role is to provide medication as well as assess any
issues that may arise be, they health concerns, concerns about the resident’s unit, any
issues with the building and any issues between residents or residents and staff. There is
a lot of reassurance, a lot of redirecting, and a lot of humor involved with resident care,
as well as a lot of patience and compassion.

Windsor Urgent Care (Windsor): June 2018- Current

I currently work as an RPN at Windsor Urgent Care, it is a walk-in clinic that provides
emergency services such as stiches, staples, medical imaging, STI testing, certain
inoculations, provides injection services with a prescription from pharmacy such as B12
and hormones, as well as general illness assistance and treatments, as well as wound
dressing for simple wounds. This is usually a fast-paced environment where people are
in a time of crisis or need and having compassion and empathy is key to providing good
care and a good experience.

Amy’s Helping Hands (Windsor): October 2017-June 2018

I previously worked with AHH as an RPN/Caregiver, I had mixed responsibilities
including medication reminders, assistance with ADL’s, personal care, mobility, outings
with clients, housekeeping, Sterilizing equipment and tools, Bowel Routine, and meal
preparation.

Chartwell- Royal Oak (Kingsville): November 2016- October 2017

I was working within Chartwell as a PSW. I slowly began learning about clients residing in
different units, how different individuals need individual care, and how teamwork is key to
a successful shift and ensuring the utmost care is given to every client. I take pride in being
open with communication when issues happen, as well as assisting the RPN and RN on
duty with tasks such as catheter changes, vitals, falls, dressing changes, any assistance I can
provide alongside them.

Paramed Home Health (Windsor): August 2 2016-November 15 2016

I assisted individuals with ADLS, medication reminders, administration of minor
medications, as well as “check ins” on some more independent clients. I assist with
bathing, dressing/changing briefs, feeding, minor housekeeping, cooking, and keeping
things orderly in their homes. This career is highly rewarding, and fulfilling; being able
to help those who have lost the control to do it themselves. I left due to moving out of
Windsor area.

Nursing Consolidation: Palliative/ Complex Care Units Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital +
Windsor Family Health Team: May 2016-August 2016
For my nursing program I had to complete 400 hours of consolidation to complete my
program and graduate. Those hours were split between hospital nursing as well as
clinical nursing OR community nursing encompassing all the skills I had learned in
clinical.
Home Support Worker (private in-home) (Tilbury): June 2015-May 2016
I was working privately for a wonderful woman who is Full Care, living at home. I have
experience with medication administration, medication reminders, GJ tube flush/feed, as
well as medication admin via GJ tube. This position has given me training with a sling
on a quadriplegic, steering an electric wheelchair, as well as using a hydraulic lift in her
personal vehicle.

Grantech Engineering International (Calgary): Dec 2012-March 2013 (Temporary-

Receptionist) (Company no longer exists) + Lally Ford Sales and Service (Tilbury): Nov
2011- October 2012
Prior to my decision to become a nurse, I was previously working as a temporary
receptionist for an engineering company. My position was composed of; greeting clients,
answering phones and in-company inquiries, booking meetings, ordering catering, ordering
and maintaining office supplies including coffee and water, dishwasher functions, and
overall cleanliness of the front desk and kitchen area, as well as document formatting, data
entry, typing and shipping/receiving mail, as well as licensing at Lally Ford.

Volunteer Experience/ Interests

 For 15 years, I volunteered and ran in the Terry Fox run in Tilbury, ON. I have been a Terry
Team member 3 times.
 Assisted with numerous church events such as pancake Tuesdays, church sale events, as well
as some choir work.
 I attended multiple Lunch and Learns via St. Clair College Nursing Staff with guest
speakers.

Summary of Qualification
I am a responsible bondable person, I have received training through Windsor Regional
hospital and Hotel Dieu Grace on multiple disciplinary floors. I hope to apply the skills
acquired to a respectable company that focuses on providing dignity and compassion to
those in need, as well as to encourage the continuing growth and independence- or
provide comfort and ease to those dying, that we provide care to in the nursing/home
care profession.
