Stitches used: -

• Magic Loop (I chained two and crocheted into first loop to create ring).
• CH – Chain.
• SL ST – Slip Stitch.
• SC – Single Crochet.
• HDC – Half Double Crochet.
• DC – Double Crochet.
• SC2TOG – Single Crochet 2 together.
• FO- Fasten off.
• FLO – Front loops only.
• BLO – Back loops only.

The Pattern: -

• Do not join the yarn at the end of rounds unless stated to do so, just
keep going in a spiral (if you struggle with the stitch count use a stitch
marker at the beginning of rounds.)
• Numbers written inside {} state the amount of stitches at the end of
round.
• Pattern written inside () should be repeated the amount of times stated.

Amigurumi Tips: -

• Use hook a size smaller than yarn requirements to keep stitches tight.
• When decreasing use the invisible decrease method. Instructions can be

What you will need: -

• Size 4 Crochet Hook.

• DK yarn in red, white, pink and dark pink.
• Toy stuffing.
• Darning needle.
• Scissors.

Body – make with red yarn.

1. CH2, SC6 into first chain (6)

2. 2SC into each ST (12)
3. (SC1, 2SC into next ST) 6 times {18}
4. (SC2, 2SC into next ST) 6 times {24}
5-22. SC around {24}
23.(SC2, SC2TOG) 6 times {18}
24.Stuff body so far.
25.(SC1, SC2TOG) 6 times {12}
26.Stuff body firmly.
27.(SC2, SC2TOG) 3 times {9}
28.Join and FO.

Head – make with pink yarn.

Attach safety eyes before you begin decrease between rows 6 and 7, 3
stitches apart.

1. CH2, SC6 into first chain {6}

2. 2SC into each ST {12}
3. (SC1, 2SC into next ST) 6 times {18}
4. (SC2, 2SC into next ST) 6 times {24}
5. SC around {24}
6. SC around {24}
7. SC around {24}
8. SC around {24}
9. SC around {24}
10. SC around {24}
11. (SC2, SC2TOG) 6 times {18}
12. (SC1, SC2TOG) 6 times {12}

 13. Stuff head firmly.
14. (SC2, SC2TOG) 3 times {9}
15. Join and FO.
16. Sew smile onto face.

Cheeks – make 2 with dark pink yarn.

1. CH2, 6SC into the 2nd CH from hook,

2. FO and sew at the tips of smile.

Hat – begin with red yarn.

Note – from round 4 we will begin decreasing 1 stitch at the beginning of

each round until we have 6 sts remaining. This will give the hat a natural
bend to it.

1. CH25, Join with a SL ST into 1st CH to create a loop., CH1 {24}

2. SC in the same space as CH1, and SC around {24}
3. SC around {24}
4. SC2TOG, SC around {23}
5. SC2TOG, SC around {22}
6. SC2TOG, SC around {21}
7. Continue in the above fashion decreasing 1 stitch at the beginning of each
round until there are 6 STS left.
8-22. Decreasing rounds
23. SC around {6}
24. SC around {6}
25. FO turn hat inside out and sew tip closed.

Attach white yarn at the bottom of hat (Row 1) to make the brim.

26.CH1, SC in the same space as CH1, SC around {24}

27.SC around {24}
28.SC around {24}
29.SC around {24}
30.FO and sew onto the top of head.

Bobble for tip of hat - make with white.

1. CH2, SC6 into first chain {6}

2. 2SC into each ST {12}
3. SC around {12}
4. SC around {12}
5. (SC2TOG) 6 times {6}
6. Stuff bobble, FO and sew onto tip of hat.

Arms - make 2 with red yarn.

1. CH2, SC6 into first chain {6}

2-21. SC around {6}
22. FO and sew onto either side of body. Do not stuff.

Legs - make 2 with red yarn.

1. CH2, SC6 into first chain {6}

2. (SC, 2SC into the next ST) 3 times {9}
3-31. SC around {9}
32. FO and sew onto bottom of body.

Collar – make with white yarn.

1. CH15, SC in 2nd CH from hook and all others across, CH1, Turn {14}
2. SC in the same ST as CH1, (2SC into the next ST, SC1) repeat 6 times,
2SC into the last ST, CH1, Turn {21}
3. SC in the same ST as CH1, *(SC, Ch3, SC) all in the same st, SC in the
next ST* repeat 10 times.
4. FO and sew around Elf’s neck.
