Grace: My Lord Jesus, I beg for the grace of quiet and openness, so that I can dispose

myself well and come face to face with my self and with my loving God in prayer.

SS: a) Is 55: 1-13 (“All you who are thirsty, come to the water!”)
b) Ps 27 (“The Lord is my light and my salvation”.)
c) Jn 15: 1-8 (“Remain in me; for apart from me, you can do nothing”.)
d) Mt 6: 19-34 (“Seek first God’s kingdom and all these things will be given you
besides”.)

Points for Prayer and Reflection:

What is your interior disposition right now as you enter into prayer?

What has been affecting you much these past days, weeks (or even months)?
Name and articulate them well.

What do you feel you need to bring before your God now in prayer
(certain concerns? needs? burdens? fears and anxieties? pains? joys?
consolations?)?

What questions do you feel you need to ask yourself and your God now in prayer?
Take time to articulate and clarify these questions.

When ready, answer them as truthfully as you can before your God.

What are your hopes and desires as you enter into prayer?
Name and articulate them.

Take all these points –

- your interior
disposition;
- what has been
affecting you much;
- realities and
questions you feel you
need to face now and
bring before your God;
- your present hopes
and desires –

and dialogue with the Lord

on each of them.

When ready just present

and entrust them all to the Lord for his blessing, resting in his love. End with a
thanksgiving.

I CHOOSE YOU

I choose to breathe the Breath of Christ

That makes all life holy.
I choose to live the flesh of Christ
That outlasts sin’s corrosion and decay.
I choose the Blood of Christ
Along my veins and in my heart
That dizzies me with joy.
I choose th eliving waters flowing from His side
To wash clean my own self and the world itself.
I choose the awful agony of Christ
To charge my senseless sorrows with meaning
And to make my pain pregnant with power.

I choose You, good Jesus, You know.

I choose You,
Good Lord;
Count me among the victories
That You have won in bitter woundedness.
Never number me among those alien to You.
Make me safe from all that seeks to destroy me.
Summon me when I come to close my eyes in death.
Summon me when I come to close my eyes ind death.
Summon me to come to You.
Stand me solid among angels and saints
Chanting yes to all You have done,
Exulting in all You mean to do
Forever and ever.

Then for this time, Father of all,

Keep me, from the core of my self,
Choosing Christ in the world.
Amen.
