Pronunciation: Dividing text into sense
groups
in Read aloud you are scored on pronunciation and oral
fiuency. To improve in these areas, you will need to be
able to divide a sentence into sense groups as you speak,
pausing slightly between each,

makes a slight pause between sense groups.
Slash marks (//) indicate the pauses. Work in
pairs and take tums to read the sentence aloud.
