● ARGO - III is equipped with the highest
order of materials and space exploration
technology to provide accommodation for
upto 600 residents at any instance.
● ARGO - III’s primary purpose is to clear the
ever increasing cloud of space debris
making escape from earth very dangerous
and possibly impossible.
● ARGO - III has three different methods of
debris collection based on the size and the
speed at which the debris is travelling at .
● Safety of the citizens is given the utmost
priority, no cost has been spared in the Omega
research and development of all the
technical aspects.
● ARGO - III is also capable of providing Gamma
natural views of earth and moon due to the
nine windows provided on board

● The non-rotating and rotating components will be connected by
titanium ball bearings connected to the interfaces using ceramics to
prevent space wielding.

• The payload is cleaned at the docking

interface using a standard procedure.
• The cleaning begins by water sterilization
and then air drying, followed by UV
sterilization for any left over microbes.

2.1.2 Hull and Window Composition

The components of the hull and windows will be held together by the super strong Loctite 638 Adhesive,
which exerts a very high adhesive strength on all metals and ceramics, including passive substrates like
stainless steel. The materials are chosen with both radiation protection and strength taken into account
both of which are the biggest challenges in space exploration.

2) Server System and Space Debris Processing Unit are

constructed, with the Debris Processing Unit as a temporary
housing facility for the workers. This will be done in the second
phase (2047)

3) Workers arrive and further construction begins.

5) Space Debris Docking Port and Observatory are

constructed. Thrusters are installed and rotation is initiated.

● The thrusters meant for initiation and preservation of rotational
momentum are attached to the outer plane of the residential areas
and are different from the ones used for orbital b.

rotational thrusters and apply thrust in a direction normal to that of
the rotational direction.

2.4.2 Shielding from Space Debris
• Agro uses silicon bucky structures to capture micro space debris. The net is deployed in front of
the settlement while it goes in a retrograde orbit to that of the debris
• Agro uses high power lasers to deflect any rogue debris.
• If the interception of the space debris and the settlement is above a safe point, agro deploys
debris collection bots which will work on the same principle but will have a better reinforced
capturing net.

11
3.4 HABITAT CAPTURE
The debris capture mechanism has four phases:
A. Automated inspection:- Debris characterisation criteria:
(1) size and distance from the settlement
(2) basic composition (by spectroscopy) to reveal whether the debris i
sa micro-debris cloud or a larger object- microdebris is then
directly swept up by a Si-Buckystructure net in a retrograde orbit.
A. Human inspection:- Upon detection of satellite like objets, a manned jet
(Teratornis) with a separable buckystructure net is deployed. Teratornis:
(1) approaches the object when at a distance
Si-Buckystructure Net for Microdebris
(2) detaches net, stabilizes the object’s rotation.
(3) latches onto the object and humans are allowed to inspect it to
determine whether the object is fit for dismantling, depending on ownership.
30 ft.
A. Initial enclosure:- The settlement aligns itself with the object’s orbit during
orbital shift. Once it finally approaches it, a hand-like structure, whose claws
can fold into each other, forms an enclosure of a predetermined radius. The
inner surface of the claw deploys a white buckystructure sheet, which
ensures:
a. All gaps are closed off.
b. Any damage to the object is prevented. 93 ft.
B. Final capture:- The arm’s base retracts and opens into the settlement,
leading into the sorting process. Macrodebris Enclosure Mechanism
12
3.4.Debris Capturing Automation
Micro-Debris -
• Alerts are given to the management when clouds of Micro-
Debris are detected, the decision to capture is made by the
crew
• Sensors are placed on the edges of the net
• When an appropriate amount of debris(predetermined by
crew) is detected inside the net, the retraction process is
initiated automatically EVA: Closed, net not deployed.

Macro-Debris -
• Trajectories for Space Vehicles can be set by the computer
systems (Manual Overrides Available)
• They hold their position when astronauts are not onboard,
automatically
• When astronauts deboard the Satellite, tethers connected to
their suits grapple them towards the ship.
EVA: Open, net deployed.
4.4 Extra Vehicular Activity
• Inspection for debris at least 20 sq.m. in area
• A net will be deployed to despin the debris.
• The astronauts would leave for EVA in the Teratornis.
• The ship will keep distance from the debris for safety and match the velocity of the debris keeping
the relative velocity zero. • The astronauts leave the
spaceship with the same
velocity as that of the spaceship
and land safely on the asteroid
and inspect the debris.
• Spacesuit designs prevent
humans being affected by
radiation.
• All the while, the astronauts will
be connected to their own ship
with Tethers.
• After inspection is over, they will
reel their tethers by a remote
control, helping them safely land
back on the Teratornis.

3.1. LOCATION AND CONSTRUCTION

● Construction processes for the outer hull and

thrusters will commence at L1 given its stability and
proximity to Earth.

● Construction near Alexandriat will reduce the cost of

transportation of raw materials and will ensure faster,
more efficient supply and variety.

● Once the exterior construction (phase 5) is complete

the ship is transferred to an orbit between the earth
and the moon i.e., 38000 km from earth, near
Alexandriat (36000 km from earth) for the interior
construction of the settlement.
