RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.
This resource allows the students to post videos, pictures with voice recordings or simply pictures. It allows for the students to
almost post to a page that is their own. The teacher can view the entire class like a feed on social media or as a single student for
parent teacher conferences or for grading. This also allows for the parents to see only their child’s posts.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PORTFOLIOS

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote student-centered learning?

I would want to use this resource to encourage project-based learning. Anything that they make, any activities that they do can be
posted along with a voice description. This allows for them to post it and then describe the activity that they did. This allows for
them to hopefully get more understanding into their activities since they have to explain what they just completed in the activity.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
• Based on the “value-added rating scale” above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
• Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

Based on the scale, I would rate Seesaw as a 2.5/3. I do believe that it aligns with the standards of the ISTE and allows for the
students to do a different type of portfolio that isn’t on paper. Of course there are other ways to do this and this may not be the
most effective way to enhance student based learning, but I believe that it is a fun one and allows for parent involvement
especially for the older children.
