Part 1: 30seconds
 *flash forward*
 Year: 2027
 Has a 7-year-old child
 Dingy place, very dodgy (possibly - p3, Carpark in Burwood Westfield)

Part 2: 4minutes
 Flash back to 2017
 Conversation between Kayla & the Counsellor where she explains her
situation and her emotions after a series of questions asked by the
Counsellor.
 Counsellor explains the actions that can be taken forward to help her,
suggestions are made.
 Counsellor brings in Kayla’s Dad into the office, discussing the report card
and the issues at hand.
 Teacher/Interpreter explains to Kayla’s dad Kayla’s schooling issues and
addresses what the counsellor and teachers have mentioned and are
concerned with.

Part 3: 5minutes
 Counsellor speaks to other teachers regarding the issues students within
the school having been having.
 Teachers are set to mention certain students’ names regarding their
behaviour, attendance, grades and their situation.
 Teachers and Counsellor discuss options of practical activities within
certain classrooms that can be implemented.
 Pros & Cons of strategies are discussed among teachers.

Part 4: 6minutes
 After seeking advice from organisations and websites a teacher has come
up with 2 activities to conduct in order to assist Kayla but not specifically
targeting her.
 Activity 1: Goal Setting
a. Goals that I want to achieve by the end of the year
b. Goals that I want to achieve by the end of 5 years
c. Goals that I want to achieve by the end of 10 years
d. What do I need to change to achieve these goals?
 Activity 2: Visual Arts
a. Teacher presents 4 colours: Red for Anger, Yellow for Happiness,
Blue for Sadness
b. Teacher explains to the students to use more of the colour they
feel most of the time, individually on a piece of paper.
c. Once completed, students are to bring their work forward putting
them together with other students.
d. Students with a similar colour majority scheme split into groups
and discuss why they feel this way.
e. Teacher is moving around the groups asking questions, making
sure students are engaged with one another and the task.
Part 5: 2minutes
 Teachers and Counsellor come back together to discuss pros and cons of
the two activities that had taken place.
Part 6: 30seconds
 *flash forward*
 2027
 Scholarship at the top University of Visual Arts
 Kayla has Graduated at the top of her class
Part 7: 2minutes
 Reflection from each of us.
