1- Classroom rules.

1. Choose and describe an aspect from a teaching competency that you need to work on (Goal)
MST is using the flash cards that have the classroom rules and she remined them always about
the rules. I would like to use the flash cards, so they can listen and see the pictures and
remember them easily.

2. Describe what you will do to help achieve your goal (Strategies Used)
I will use the flash cards and do the actions with them. Also, to make sure that they knew the
rules I will ask one of them to come and say the rules.

3. Describe how you can tell if you’re achieving your goal (Evidence)
By describing what happened and what went well and what need to be developed next time in
the reflection.

7- A4 paper that have a snake picture.
Introduction (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)

In the circle time, I will do the morning routine by reading the holy Quran and Alduaa. Then,

change the date and the day and take attendance by choosing a helper hand to do that. After

that, I will remind the students about the classroom rules which are; Lips are zipped, Legs are

crossed, Eras are listening, hands are still, and eyes are watching. I will apply a song about the

numbers before the small story about Mr. Tom and I will do with the math chart on the board.

Then, I will hang the learning objectives of the lesson on the board and read them with the

students. After that, each group will line up and move to their groups (Red, Green, Yellow),

and I will explain for each group the activities before they go to their groups.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)


Yellow group (English Area): They will do the cubes activity by decomposing numbers “5”
by using the cubes (4 and 1 or 2 and 3).

Independent Experience (small group activity 2)

Green group (Science Area): They will have eggs that are broken into two parts and they
have to put the eggs parts together to have the right answer for decomposing “5”.

Independent Experience (small group activity 3)

Blue group (Math Area): They will have the snake worksheets and they should count the
yellow dots and the blue that are on the snake to find out what are the two numbers that give
us “5”.

Note: (Abdulrahman and Khalid are under the low level. I will let them do a specific
activity which the hunger and the clips is “I will ask them to put five clips in the hunger and I
will ask them questions such as; two and three together will give me what? Count for me.

Note: (The students are mixed in the groups (High, Middle and low levels), that will engage
them to help each other during the activities. The time is not enough to switch over the
groups in one period).

Bring the students to the carpet by lining up and make a quick review.

Assessment:

I play a game to challenge them and to assists their understanding. I will pick 10 students (5) boys and
(5) girls. I will count tell 5 and the two groups should decompose quickly into two parts (4 and 1 or 2 and
3). I will ask the rest of the students if they are right or not. The group who wins will have a candy.

What went well:

The students were well behaved and engorged with the lesson and participating.

They enjoyed most doing the actions that was in the song and count from 1 to 20.

Besides, they read the Quran with me and the morning routines was great. They liked

doing the activities especially the eggs activity. Moreover, they were interest with the

puppet and all of them wanted to come and count the ball which is good and shows

that they were engaged. MCT and MST liked the morning routines a lot and the

activity the I did in the circle time. Some of the students understand the lesson and

how to decompose while the other such as Sara and Ali needed some help for the

monkey activity. Abdulrahman and Khalid did specific activity which was putting

the clips on the hunger and decompose. I helped them and asked them to break the

clips into tow numbers and they know by repeating three times.

Even better if:

For the next lesson, I will read the Quran carefully to make sure they know how to

pronounce the words. In addition, I will use the bell to stop the students when they

are talking and for the closing I will think for a useful activity to assist their

understanding.
