Step 1

• Remove the unit from the


packaging.
• Undo the 4 screws in the corners.
• Place the front of the eoMini in a
safe place.

• Cut the correct size hole in the bottom of the eoMini.


• Fit the cable gland.
• Clean out any dust.

• Make sure the mounting surface is flat to ensure


the eoMini back is not twisted once mounted
• Level the eoMini enclosure and mark the position
of 4 holes.
• Remove the eoMini and drill the four holes. Do
NOT drill through back of enclosure.
• Fit the eoMini enclosure to the wall, note the
correct way up with the cable entry at the bottom.

• Offer up the eoMini front section


and connect the power cables as
shown.
• Position all cables so that you can
close the eoMini front to the
eoMini back, making sure that no
cables are trapped.
• Secure the eoMini front. DO NOT
over tighten the screws.

• The eoMini is now ready to be commissioned!

• Unscrew the locking plate from


the base plate using the tool
provided.

• Unscrew the cover on the


connector.
• Using a hole cutter, cut a hole to
suit your cable gland. (easier on a
work bench than using approach
in the image!).
• Cable gland size up-to M25x1.5,
can also use SWA.

Step 4

• Offer up the base plate. Level the


base plate against the wall (or EO
Stainless Steel Post).
• Fix the base plate to the wall/post
using the Ø4mm holes.

• Unscrew the 6 screws (10 screws


for 3-phase), feed the cable
through the gland and secure.
• Prepare conductor ends with
ferrules.
• Screw terminals suit up to 10mm2.
(will increase to 16mm2 soon)

• Connect the power cables to the pins as shown and test


to ensure continuity.
• Single Phase - connect neutral, earth and L1.
• Three Phase – also connect L2 and L3.

• An additional screw is provided
should another earth connection
be required.

• All previous steps are identical to


the eoBasic.
• Each eoGenius is pre-fitted with
a 3m RS485 flying lead
• Ensure the RS 485 data cable
does not get trapped when
securing the charge-station to
the wall plate.

• eoGenius charge-stations are


RS485 connected on a serial bus
for communication to eoHub.
• RS485 twisted-pair terminations.
• Comms A – Red OR
Blue & White stripe
• Comms B – Black OR
White & Blue stripe
• Cable runs of greater than 25m
require a 120Ω 0.25W termination
resistor at each end of the bus.
• Consider grounding the bus for
longer cable runs.

• Terminate the RS485 cable from the charge-


station into a breakout box.
• 3-way lever connectors (Wago) connectors are
ideal.
• When post mounting the breakout box can
be placed within the post.
• When wall mounting the breakout box can
be within trunking.

chain from one breakout box to
the next and to the eoHub

Current Transformers (CTs)

• For automatic load management CTs are


required on the incoming site supply.
• Chose a CT rating and size to suit the supply,
standard ratings are 50A // 100A // 250A //
1000A.
• CT cables are terminated directly to the
screw terminal bar within the eoHub.
• CT cables can be extended up to 30m if
| using the same 18AWG / 1mm2 cable, Link.
• CT’s are bi-directional.

• Contact EO if a fixed IP is required.

Internet Connection

• Connect a laptop to network cable intended


for eoHub.
• Test network ports by navigating to:
http://porttest.eocharging.com:4455

• In both cases you should get an EO web page
back telling you that the port is open.
• If there is a problem your browser should
respond with a timeout error.
• This step also verifies that DNS is available.

• On power up eoHub runs through
boot up sequence.
• Can take around 90 seconds to
establish connection to EO servers
• Finished when all three LEDs are
flashing green fast.

• LEDs also provides error codes to


help troubleshooting.
