MAN A VR - OP ART

Short description
A lesson in optical illusion and op art
artworks.
Digital and non digital artworks will be
created by students.
Besides, they will experience
Immersive Virtual Reality in an op art
enviroment.

Timing
12 sessions (55 minutes each)
Aims
 I can identify optical illusion artwork and artists.
 I cam distinguish background and foreground and their relationships.
 I can discover optical illusions.
 I can discuss the science behind op art.
 I understand the principles of multimedia language, give value to digital
technologies and be able to create new products with them.
 I can use IT, mobile devices an VR (virtual reality) aplied to image.
 I can create my own non digital op art artwork using line, color and shape.
 I can create digital op art artworks using variations of shapes, color and
composing visual and sonorous sequences.

Crosscurricular aims
 I can collaborate with peers to create a groupal work.
 I can use IT devices with responsability, caution and following the rules.

 How do op artists manipulate space to create the illusion of movement?
 What are the different categories of optical illusions?
 Who are the artists working with optical illusions today?
 How does our physiology work with art to create illusions?
