THE GSBA SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Celebrating 28 Years
In 1991 the GSBA Scholarship Fund awarded its first two scholarships
totaling $5000. This year the Scholarship Fund will invest over
$400,000 in 46 students, bringing the total to $3.5 million dollars!
That would never have been possible without the help and support
of our generous donors. Thank you!
This is the 4th year of the GSBA Guarantee and we will see the
largest group of scholars ever graduate having had 4 years of support. The power
of the GSBA Guarantee is not only that our scholars know that the funding they
receive will be there until they graduate; but it has created a space for them to be
a part of a cohort that we hope will provide lifelong connections.
The 46 scholars in the 2018 cohort represent a diverse group of talented young
people who have big dreams to help make the world a better place. Many have
had to overcome significant challenges and yet, through their accomplishments,
they are already proving that your investment in them is worthwhile.
“Without your generous support and belief in my abilities, I would not have
been able to pursue education at such a prestigious school that challenges me
in my studies and discovering who I am every day. Thank you so much for all

EA AD that we have truly gone beyond the tuition dollar in making sure that our scholars
not only have access to education; but that they are supported throughout so
that they are able to persist to graduation and further, that they have a clear path
to success and in turn, to give back to the next generation. We are proud that we
have had 4 past scholars serve on the GSBA Board!
Applications for the 2019 scholarship cycle became live on October 11, National
Coming Out Day. Beginning in January we will start to train over 100 volunteers
who will take on the hard job of interviewing new students who will be our future
leaders. Volunteers come back year after year for this life-changing opportunity.
This is one of the most difficult and yet rewarding jobs a person could ever do.
We invite you to join us in the effort.
