10 - SHELF LIFE The shelf life is 24 months from date of manufacture and minimum 2/3 at delivery.

11 - PACKAGING The product is packed into a Blue polyethylene bag (50µm minimum gauge)
FORMATION Each bag is packed into a carton
Cartons are placed onto a Euro pallet 80x120cm.
If pallets are used, they must be clean with a layer pad between pallet and first layer of
packaging. Each pallet is covered with a pallet board and is then externally shrink wrapped with a
polyethylene film (2m10 max height). We would prefer to have goods on plastic pallet and weight
of carton < 20kg.

12 - LABELLING Each box will have a printed label with the following information:
 Supplier name, Freezing factory, country of freezing factory
 Product Description, Lot Number
 Gross Weight, Tare, Net Weight
 Production and Best Before End
 Country of origin of fresh product (growing country)
 For Organic product : Organic logo, name of certification bodies
Packing list with each delivery.

13 - SHIPPING Transport and storage temperature must be between ≤-18°C and ≥-15°C.
If delivery is per full truck : truck must be sealed and number of seal must be added on CMR.

14 - A certificate of analysis (CoA) must be sent with each delivery unless otherwise agreed written
CERTIFICATION agreement CHAUCER FOODS.
REQUIREMENTS The certificate must identify and cover all of the batch codes within the delivery it can be a
specific document (CoA) or values can be included in the “doc A”:
 Microbiological analysis with all criteria indicated in § 6
 Physical properties and foreign bodies with all criteria indicated in § 3 and 4

Moreover, at the first delivery and then once a year for each agricultural producer or growing
site a certificate of analysis must be sent concerning :
 Heavy metals
 Pesticides residues
 Mycotoxin : Aflatoxins (B1, B1+B2+G1+G2), Ochratoxins
 Nutritional values (calculated values are accepted)

The supplier must take appropriate steps to ensure compliance with legislation and/or codes of
practices concerning heavy metals, pesticides, myctotoxins. He must be prepared to make
records of analysis available for examination on request.

15 – SUPPLIER Products supplied must conform to this specification and its eventual amendments and
ACCEPTANCE revisions.
AND REJECTION By acceptance of this specification the supplier undertakes to co-operate with CHAUCER FOODS
by investigating any concerns or queries about the material supplied.
If the product does not comply with these specifications, CHAUCER
we FOODS reserves the right to
refuse the batch in whole or in part.
