It is indeed with great pride and honor for the Municipal of

San Enrique to hosts this much awaited Iloilo Fourth
Congressional District Meet on October 22-25, 2014.

This year’s theme: “Isports: Sanayin at Paunlarin

Pagtitiwala sa Sarili’y Pagyamanin” is reminder to all of us of the
remarkable contribution of sports have imparted to the
development of our community and the country as a whole,
and of the pride they can give in every Filipino.

The common goal for the upcoming event is to unite all

local government units and schools in one converging activity
that shall hone the skills and talents of the athletes through sports
and guiding them towards greatness as they aim for excellence.
This is the venue where the lesson through sports is extended
towards the participants; for them not to fear competition, but to
value its influence because it inspires people to greatness.

May these endeavors be blessed with friendship,

harmony, sportsmanship, and a great sporting success. When we
complete in unity there are no losers, so let each competitor soar
high for excellence and purpose while embracing victory.

Congratulations to the Municipality of San Enrique for

hosting the 4th Congressional District Sports Association Meet on
October 22-25, 2014.

The holding of CDSA Meet annually stresses the vital role

of sports in our society. Aside from giving us pride, our top
athletes also serve as a uniting factor for us Ilonggos.

Indeed, sports can be a tool for change. An adage that

says, “That will to win is important, but the will to prepare is vital,”
is true not only in the field of sports but also in dealing with life’s
great challenges. In every endeavors that we face it is vital to
prepare since practice and more practice is the only way to
greatness.

I am pleased to note that various sports events are held in

our province. Through these, we are not only preparing our
young people to be champions in their sports but also to
develop a winning attitude in life.

Rest assured of my continued support.

Godspeed and more power!

My warmest greetings to the people of the Fourth District

primarily to the athletes and participants of the Iloilo Fourth
Congressional District Meet on October 22-25, 2014.

Congratulations to this year’s host, the Municipality of San

Enrique whom I believe is well prepared, equipped and ready to
host this year’s meet.

“Isports: Sanayin at Paunlarin Pagtitiwala sa Sarili’y

Pagyamanin.” It simply means that once you are into sports, one
must train, develop and improve one’s craft and skills in
whatever field you specialize. It takes dedication to your chosen
sport and be ready to excel and be your best in any
competition. Readiness builds ones confidence. Self-confidence
can only be achieved when you believe you’re best, you are
self-prepared, trained and dedicated.

Let sportsmanship, camaraderie and teamwork rise

above this competition.

Good Luck and Congratulation!

This year’s Iloilo Fourth Congressional Sports Association

(IFCDSA) Meet will be hosted by San Enrique. Congratulations to
the Municipality of San Enrique, Mayor Ramona Palabrica Go,
fellow public servants, and all who have worked hard for this
happen.
With this year’s theme; “Isports; Sanayin at Kaunlarin;
Pagtitiwala sa sarili’y Pagyayamanin’, we are called to practice,
excel, and develop trust i9n ourselves to perform our duties, not
only in sports but in everything we do.
Getting to the District Meet is no easy task. It has been with
its ups and downs: it is not easy to balance school with sports,
the sleepless days and nights filled with anxiety, the non-stop
training, and the victories and defeats.
You all deserve to be here because all of you have
performed extraordinarily well. All athletes, coaches, trainers,
families, friends and other supporters all warrant our admiration
and respect. You all have reached this point because you have
showed determination.
The road for most of you does not stop here. Some of you will
head to the Nationals and some to the ASEAN, and some even
to the Olympics. This road will be filled with adversity, but
remember, you are loved by our town mates, you are loved by
our District, and you are loved by the Philippines. Respect each
town well. Respect your families well. Respect your country well.
Wherever sports will take you, do not forget where all these
gifts come from. Do not forget those who have supported you.
Do not forget those who believe in you. Play to the best of your
abilities with integrity and resist any temptation to cheat, as this is
the only proof that our love for you will not go in vain.
Again, congratulations to all, and may we see you achieve
great things through sports.
