Purpose: To protect the foundation bolts against rust until erection of the
tower section. Furthermore to prevent the grout from cracking
when post tensioning the foundation bolts as the threads and the
grout does not bond.

Work description:

1. The shrink tube is put over the bolt as shown in fig.1 and heated up in
accordance with chosen shrink tube data sheet. It should be tight to the bolt all
the way up, but not shrinking into the threads. It is important that the lower part of
the sealing between the bolts and the shrink tube is tight.

 2. The upper surplus of shrink tube is bent down and attached to the bolt with a
plastic strip, fig. 2.
