Serving God:
Discovering & Using Your Spiritual Gifts
October 31 - November 21 l 9:30 a.m. in Room 405
God created us to know Him, to have fellowship with Him, and to serve Him. This class is an 8 lesson study designed
for use in group settings. Join us and discover your spiritual gifts and how to use them to build up the church.

Simple Steps for Sharing Your Faith

November 7 & 14 l 11:00 a.m. in Room 502C
GCC wants you to be completely transformed in Jesus. One step in that transformation is sharing our faith with
others. This class will encourage you and motivate you to share Jesus’ love. Because of this, you will experience Jesus’
love in deeper ways. Sharing your faith will become a perfectly natural part of your life. This class is taught by Kent
Patterson.

Coming in January! - Marriage Built to Last

January 9 - February 20 l 9:30 a.m. in Room 409
You are going to find the right person. Then you’re going to fall in love and you set your hopes and dreams on
them. You get married and then there is the pretty dress and it’s wonderful. Then you are going to move in
together and it’s going to be awesome!---- Reality: “After we got married, the romance was gone.” “I feel like I
argue with my wife over and over again about the same thing.” “We both don’t fight fair, and so in our house it has
been a dig in until you win kind of thing for both of us.” “We knew…we weren’t going to divorce, but at the same
time we would still kind of throw around the word.” “If others could see inside our house, I would be so humiliated
because we aren’t acting like Christians.” What happened? Join this class as they take a good hard look at the
marriage the way God meant it to be. Jim Robison is teaching.

Remembrance Day Classes
October 15, 2010
Dear Friends,

As a church family, we share the blessing of lives that regularly intersect. Between
intersections, though, our paths take us to many different places, some of them
painful. At times, when we don’t see familiar faces in those places where we hurt, we
keep quiet about those darker segments of the journey. I’d like to invite you to join
us in addressing one such place.

As a part of the natural rhythm of life, we say good-by each year to a number of loved
ones who precede us to the Father. We grieve, of course, but we also find comfort in
happy memories and the friends and family members who surround us to celebrate
and pay respect to the lives of those who leave us.

Not every loss, however, permits such consolation. More often than we’d like,
