The purpose of this lab is to observe the duration of time it takes for blood to clot in order to protect any
bacteria or diseases to harm the body any further. The information about inflammatory, fibroblastic, and
maturation can be observed after a little while when the blood starts to form its clot. A factor not taking
into account maybe if an individual were sick or not. Depending on the health of a person may determine if
blood would work quicker or not. It is important to understand the importance of blood clotting because it
is a barrier before any more harm could be done. In sports medicine, understanding that an athlete may
have already had their blood clotted or not helps determine what other could be provided.
