Mission of Service Civique

Development & Promotion of International Mobility


In the frame of the French volunteering programme called « Service Civique », the Regional Youth Information
Center (CRIJ Normandie) located in Caen (France), is currently looking for 1 volunteer from EU countries.

o The volunteer will connect young people experienced in travelling together with non-experienced young
people, in order to give them the eager to go abroad (he/she will help to organize workshops or events to
promote youth international mobility, or to collect young travellers stories).
o He/she will help to manage our « mobility areas » by organising playful activities, creating pedagogical
tools, etc.
o He/she will promote mobility projects: interviewing young people, spreading European news and mobility
programmes on our social media, participating in radio programmes…
o He/she will support the CRIJ team during mobility events, such as: Mobility Forum, European day, Time to
Move Normandy festival…
o He/she will help to develop an intercultural dialogue in order to fight against the stereotypes and prejudices,
by allowing young people to be more curious and open-minded. He/she will participate in intercultural
workshops organised in schools, but also in activities related to the regional Youth Information network.
o Together with another volunteer in Rouen, he/she will be in charge of managing an online regional network
of volunteers called “Le Hub des volontaires”, by connecting them on social media, promote their
volunteering experiences and participating in events.

What does the CRIJ Normandie?


Our non-profit organisation is located in two different cities in Normandy: Caen and Rouen. Each year, we include 4
volunteers (2 in Rouen, 2 in Caen) in our team. Among our activities related to Youth Information, we support and
contribute to inform young people about european and international youth mobility. We help them to build their
mobility projects by developing their sense of initiative, their autonomy and their consciousness as young citizens.

We are looking for 1 volunteer:


- Aged bewteen 18 and 25 years,
- Like meeting new people and sharing,
- Have experience or a taste for travelling,
- Ability to speak french is a plus.

Monthly allowance : 577,08 € per month (28h / week)
Mission starts on: Monday 1st October 2018 (10 months)
Travel and accommodation arrangements will be made by the CRIJ team.
