Part 2 : Servicing of the Pump

Note:

1.The Price Bid Consist of two parts viz. Supply &Work: The bidder has to quote both parts of price bid online,
one for work portion and other for supply portion (Mandatory and optional spares). Tender shall be decided on
lowest offer basis in totality for both jobs to single eligible bidder. If any bidder quote the rates for only ONE PART,
their offer may be liable to reject summarily.
2. There is no manufacturing drawing of Vacuum Pump or its spares are available with T.O. Bidder shall have to
arrange at his or her own.
3. Firm quoting overall lowest rates shall be considered as L1 bidder.
4. The firm has to ensure fitment cum interchange ability of spares and in case of non-fitment of replacement of
material free of cost.
5. Performance of the vacuum pump must be checked upto 680 mm hg vacuum. The bidder must have in house test
bench facility for testing the performance of the vacuum pump.
6. Payment for the subject work shall only be released after successful installation of the pump and checking its
performance for rated parameter at site.

 Scope of work & Specific Terms & Conditions

1. To overhaul/repair/service of Edwards make vacuum pumps (01Nos) Model SH22500, installed

at Unit no 5 of 500 MW capacity at MPPGCL Birsinghpur
2. Dismantling the pump components assemblies of each parts such second stage discharge
manifold, 2nd stage lobe and cone, bracket I.E. head, I.E. bearing. Lock nut, bearing, shaft,
first stage rotor, D.E. head, body, 2nd stage rotor, inter stage check valve at site for joint
inspection.
3. Assembling of the pump for transportation to the works.
4. Cleaning of all the removed parts of the vacuum pump.
5. Checking all the clearances of casing, rotor, cone, first stage, second stage rotor, body and
assessment for further fitment.
6. Checking of bearings. Of both end, if required, replace the same.
7. Preparation of various gaskets.
8. Re-assembly the complete vacuum pump with necessary replacement and repair of the
internals.
9. Maintaining proper clearances/interference wherever required and as per
requirement/recommendation by OEM.
10. Assy. Of vacuum pump sealing lines, suction valves to its position.
11. Replacement of installed Vacuum Pump from Serviced Vacuum Pump.
12. Alignment of serviced vacuum pump and drive motor coupling.
13. Trial run of the vacuum pump at site.
14. Observation of rated vacuum of overhauled vacuum pump.
15. Attending the work if any abnormality observed in the vacuum pump.
16. Performance parameters to recorded and submitted.

Terms & Conditions

1. The Servicing of the equipment is to be carried out in the strict supervision of Service
Engineer.
2. The firm will be informed by MPPGCL for the site visit to execute joint inspection of the vacuum
pump.
3. GST at the prevailing rate will be paid extra.
4. All statuary rules under factory have to be followed by the contractor and his worker.
5. If contractor fails to complete the job in time i.e., 05 months from handing over the material,
10% penalty will be deducted from his bill.
6. Accommodation shall be provided to the service engineer on chargeable basis, subjected to the
availability of rooms.
7. The firm shall take care for safety of equipments and properties of MPPGCL.
8. Payment shall be made after successful installation of the pump and checking the performance
of the pump at rated parameter.

MPPGCL will not be responsible for any accident occurred during execution of the
aforesaid work. All statutory safety measures as per safety rules shall be taken care
of solely by the firm without any additional cost to MPPGCL for the above said work.
