Itis an undeniable fact that anyone of us is a potential user of blood. On the contrary, not all of us can qualify to donate. Only healthy individuals with low risk for transfusion transmissible infection may donate blood. For the Province and City of Cebu, the current estimated demand for blood is 150 bags / day (4500 bags/month). This is a quantify figure impossible to supply from voluntary non- remunerated blood donation, a known source of safer blood. There is therefore, a need to promote community responsiveness to answer this critical need. The vision of the National Voluntary Blood Services Program (NVBSP) is “Quality Blood for All”, It is in this context that the Department of Health ~ Region Vii Blood Center request to conduct a Mobile Blood Donation Activity in your institution, DepEd Division of City of Bogo, on February 2018 or at your most convenient time. This is with the intention of drawing out true altruism and humanitarianism in response to a social respon call for Voluntary Non- remunerated Blood Donation (VNRB) and this will very well be a gift that your respective institution can give to the needing patients.
