 Need for this initiative

• 12,00,000 Engineering students graduate each year

from 11,000 Colleges

• According to various published sources, almost 80% of

them are “UNEMPLOYABLE” or “SUB-STANDARD”

• As on date INDIA has over 10 Crores of Youth between

18 - 25 who are NOT well prepared to meet the
challenges of the future

• Government and other stake holders are doing their

BEST but this is clearly inadequate

• “ADOPT AN ENGINEER” is an initiative being launched

by D4E to arrest future production of UNEMPLOYABLE
ENGINEERS. Industries require Competent Engineers for
their Prosperity.

 About the “Adopt an Engineer” Campaign
• The campaign will be launched and run on the
D4ECLUB platform

• The objective of the campaign is to connect

500,000 Engineering Students with Mentors through
the D4ECLUB platform

• Engineering professionals / Experts / Industries

register on the D4ECLUB platform and express their
interest to Adopt a fresh Engineering Student in the
academic year 2018-19

• They commit to preparing the adopted

students to become BETTER ENGINEERS.
• This primarily involves investment of TIME
backed by a motive of SERVICE and PASSION.

• Students aspiring to be adopted register themselves

on the D4ECLUB platform

• The platform pairs the mentors with the students

and intimates both , irrespective of their locations.

• The mentoring relationship continues over the 4 years a
Student pursues his/her Engineering under-graduate degree

• Register on the D4ECLUB app and connect students with mentors in
real-time during launch
• Create ambassadors for this initiative in each city to monitor and take it
forward to a larger audience
• Target is to connect 500,000 Students with Mentors this year before
Sept 2018.
