EMR are a digital version of paper charts in the medical field. The existing method is to use the
paper charts for recording the SOAP notes. EMR contains the medical and treatment history of
the patients. They are built to share information between the laboratories, specialists, pharmacy,
so that they could contain the information of all the patients.
Advantages of EMR over Paper Records are
 They can track data over time
 Easily identify which patients are due for preventive screenings or check-ups
 Missing of charts can be avoided

Modules
Outpatients List: - In this module we include the list of patients. And the details of the patients
are loaded. Here we use a unique id for identifying the patients.
Symptoms Entry:-In this case the symptoms put forward by the patients are recorded, and also
the previous symptoms history of the patient is loaded.
Observations:-This module is used to store the result of observation of vital signs.
Prescriptions:-Here the prescribed medicine or suggestions are recorded.
Print EMR:-This module provides the facility to print the medical records if the patient requires.
View history: - It provides the medical history.
