GK-500 Aluminum Interlocked Armor
2,400V (5KV)
Applications
– Non Shielded
Typical applications are for power distribution in pulp and paper mills,
steel mills, food processing plants, commercial centers, mines, generating
stations, refineries, industrial plants and chemical plants. They may be
installed in racks, trays, ladders, raceways, aerial installations, direct
burial and concrete-encased installations.
Aluminum interlocked armor cables provide an economical and versatile
alternative to a conduit system.
All cable under this specification is recognized by the NEC as 2400V
non-shielded cable.

Construction
Three compact stranded copper conductors, extruded EPR semi-
conducting strand screen over individual conductors, EPR insulation,
print phase ID, with one grounding conductor, fillers and binder tape
over the core, aluminum interlocked armor with yellow PVC jacket.
Sizes: 8 AWG to 1000 Kcmil
Other Options available upon request: XLP insulation, colors, low smoke,
zero halogen (LSZH), low corrosion jackets and customized ground wires.

GK-505 High Tensile Aluminum
Mining Vertical Application
Interlocked Armor

Designed for Vertical Application

Aluminum Interlocked Armor “HT RISER” is the cable option for long
vertical applications where standard riser or armored cable would fail.
HT Riser is ideal for mining and high-rise commercial building applications.

HTR (High Tensile Riser) v. STW (Steel Wire Armor)

I ncreased Protection: HTR’s high tensile strength members are an
integral part of the inside construction of the cable. This design protects
the strength members from the corrosive environment found in many
down-hole / mining applications.
Secure Installation: HTR will not twist under the cable weight, unlike
steel wire armor, which is prone to twisting

Benefits of HT Riser Cable

• Longer vertical runs
• No inner cable slippage
• Eliminates stress on the outer jacket
• Safe, quick and easy installation
• Reduced installation cost due to longer runs
• CU Conductor
• 600V or Medium Voltage • Uses standard armor connectors
• XLP or EPR • Available from 600V to 35kV
• 3 Stranded Steel Wires for • Specifications upon request

Applications
– Shielded
Typical applications are for power distribution in pulp and paper mills,
steel mills, food processing plants, commercial centers, mines, generating
stations, refineries, industrial plants and chemical plants. They may be
installed in racks, trays, ladders, raceways, aerial installations, direct burial
and concrete-encased installations.
TECK cables are recommended for severe operating conditions in wet
and dry locations. They can be installed in corrosive environments and
are resistant to mechanical abuse and ozone attack.
Dual PVC jacketed (inner/outer) provides extra protection from moisture
and liquid.

Three compact stranded copper conductors, extruded semiconducting
EPR strand screen, EPR insulation, extruded semiconducting EPR
insulation screen, phase identification strips, and copper shield tape over-
lapping, over individual conductors, with one stranded copper grounding
conductor, black PVC inner jacket over the cores, aluminum interlocked
armor is applied directly over the inner jacket, and a protective sunlight
and ozone resistant jacket of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) suitable for installation
in temperatures down to -40C, is extruded over the interlocked armor.
