2. “Coaching 101” workshop by Air Force Adaptive Culture has been integrated into
the SQNLDR RC. Any individual who has previously completed the AFAC “Coaching 101”
workshop and has the PMKeyS proficiency P122396 against their record, is not required to
attend the activity again. Those who meet these circumstances are to send a screen shot of
their PMKeyS proficiency record showing the Coaching 101 proficiency, to the course co-
ordinator via email.

the strategic level. With this in mind, the SQNLDR RC will examine higher levels of air
power including:
f. future concepts.

will be delivered by CDLE and are closely linked to the leadership sessions. The topics that

12. Values and ethics studies will be consolidated during activities conducted in
conjunction with the leadership sessions delivered by CDLE.
Communication subjects
14. The military management learning module incorporates military justice; which is
delivered by RAAF legal officers. Military justice, whether applied administratively or
judicially, is a vital tool that when applied properly, promotes good discipline and fosters
good morale. Importantly, the delivery of this module is structured around the development of
skills that underpin sound and just decision making via scenario based work. These skills
have direct application to wider leadership skills.
15. In achieving the Air Force mission, the organisation faces a range of management
challenges. Activities throughout the SQNLDR RC will expose participants to these
challenges and help develop an understanding of how to resolve some of them. The SLT
interaction provides the course with an opportunity to present a range of current issues to
members of the SLT. Maintaining a record of issues as they arise during presentations and
syndicate discussions will provide a basis for this exercise. This forum provides middle
managers (in this case SQNLDR RC participants) with an opportunity to share concerns with
senior Air Force leaders, providing an avenue to influence Air Force.
16. This exercise concludes with an informal dinner. The dinner may be held in the
Combined Senior Sailors / Officers Mess (dress requirements are annotated in Annex B para
11), at a BBQ outside Gloucester House or at a commercial facility (at own cost). It is up to
the course participants to decide how they prefer to host the attending SLT members.
