PAST SIMPLE VS PAST PROGRESSIVE

1. Past simple

• When I was young I lived in Madrid (Cuando era joven vivía en Madrid)

2. Past continuous or past progressive

• When the mother came home her husband was playing with the kids (cuando la madre llegó a casa su marido estaba

• Yesterday evening when you called me I was having a shower (ayer en la noche cuando me llamaste, me estaba bañando)
• When the parents arrived home the children were watching TV (cuando los padres llegaron a casa, los niños estaban
mirando Tv)
