Multiple Language Support Reviewable Content Accessible from Home – shareable online or as a printed physical copy Lesson idea implementation: The teacher will introduce the study of weather types with the Forms of Precipitation video as a hook. The teacher will inform the students that they will be exploring types of weather patterns. During the short video, they will be challenged to think about what they know about one or more of the forms of precipitation that may not be featured in the video. The students and teacher will come together to discuss what they know about weather patterns and precipitation. Once they have compiled their list, they will be divided into four groups. The groups will create four presentations/videos featuring information on each of the forms of precipitation using PowerPoint. Reflective Practice: To extent the lesson to a higher LoTi level, students will relate the forms of precipitation to other weather patterns that are present for each form of precipitation, and even extend to other parts of the standard such as weather instruments, recording data, and seasonal patterns of change.
