TWO WHEELER” has been prepared as a part of my academics during the period of 5th
August to 5th September for the partial fulfillment of degree of “Bachelor of Business
Administration”, by KURUKSHETRA UNIVERSITY, KURUKSHETRA under
guidance of Prof. VISHAL ANAND BBA OF R.K.S.D.(PG) COLLEGE, KAITHAL.

has been magnanimous in guiding, encouraging and supporting me during the project.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A Para about project:

As partial fulfillments of BBA course as per university curriculum this project has been
prepared. I got the opportunity to do my in-plant training at TVS HANDUJA MOTORS. I
have conducted a study on “MARKETING STRATIGIES OF TVS TWO WHEELERS” for a
period of 30 days.

This project is partial fulfillment of requirement of BBA 5th semester in R.K.S.D. (PG)
COLLEGE, KAITHAL.

During the course of my studies, I got detailed information about TVS HANDUJA
MOTORS, its Organization & Administration.

It was an opportunity to learn the practical aspects of industries. I stretched this topic
concerned to company requirements.

Need for the study:

To understand the satisfaction level of the customer regarding the service provided by
MANICKBAG TVS, to understand what are the customer requirement and improvement
required by them in service.

Objective of the study:

 To know the customer satisfaction level towards service of MANICKBAG TVS.


 To know the problems presently lased by the customers at MANICKBAG TVS.
 To study the post sales service performance.
 To know the new area of improvement.

Research Design:

 Primary source: Questionnaire & personal interaction.


 Secondary source: Company data through Internet.
Title of the project:

“MARKETING STRATEGIES OF T.V.S TWO WHEELERS”

Important findings:

We found that when respondents were asked to rank the parameter which made them
to select two wheeler. The parameter rated the highest was fuel efficiency followed by the
maintenance of TVS MOTOR APACHE.

Majority of respondents are in favor that TVS MOTOR APACHE which provides
good fuel efficiency and maintenance of the bike is very cheap.

Many of the respondents are satisfied with the maintenance of TVS MOTOR
APACHE.

Suggestions:

The TVS MOTOR company selling different models of bikes should also concentrate
on higher end bikes like Apache RTR 180, Flame DS 125, Flame, TVS Jive, Star City,
Sports, WEGO, Scotty Streak, Scotty Pep+, Scotty TEENZ, XL Super, TVS XL Heavy Duty
to increase its fuel efficiency so that the customer will be benefited with the efficient feature.

The perception of the people is that the TVS motor provides wide variety of the
products with different models, but later due to damages if the customer is to purchase the
spare parts they are normal compared to other company’s spares.
Limitations:

1. Because of time constrain my study confines only to KAITHAL CITY & it is not
possible to make extensive study.
2. By busy working schedule of executives it is difficult to extract more information
from them.
3. Many users are unaware with specification available in two wheelers & comparison
between them is hampered.

Conclusion:

In this study I came to know that there are more than fifteen different two-wheeler
companies manufacturing different type of vehicles. As the time is changing the demands and
preferences are also changing very rapidly, so if the companies want to survive in this
competitive market, they have produce the goods and services as per the needs of the
customers to delight them.

The TVS motor is the No.3 two-wheeler company in India which produces wide
variety of products with different models, aesthetics etc, by which it has captured a large
market share in two-wheeler market.

Now there are other companies like Bajaj, Hero Honda, Yamaha etc, which are giving
keen competition to TVS MOTOR.
