The Diminished Scale can be constructed by combining 2 minor tetrachords a tritone apart. C- and F♯- , Db- and G-, D-and Ab -.
It can also be constructed by combining 2 fully diminished chords a tone apart. Co7 and Do7, Dbo7 and Ebo7, Do7 and Eo7
There are 3 Diminished Scales.Scale 1 for C, Eb, F♯,A - Scale 2 for C♯,E, G, Bb - Scale 3 for D, F, Ab,
Scale can be used over Diminished Chords with the same root. Scale can be used over dominant 7th (b9) starting a half step above the root.
Each Diminished chord can be a Substitute chord for 4 different dom 7 (b9) Chords
Abo7, Bo7, Do7, Fo7 = E7(b9), G7(b9), Bb7(b9), Db7(b9)
Ao7, Co7, Ebo7, F♯o7 = F7(b9), Ab7(b9), B7(b9), D7(b9)
Bbo7, Dbo7, Eo7, Go7 = F♯7(b9), A7(b9), C7(b9), Eb7(b9)
