Physics Laboratory Report: Course Physics 122
Purpose
Learn the similarities between the oscilloscope and the equipment used in the previous lab.
Demonstrate the use of the oscilloscope to make DC and AC measurements. Learn Alternate
Current, and visualize what AC current with an LED. Learn how to use the function
generation, and Light Emitting Diode, LED, and works in a DC and AC circuits.

Results/Analysis
When the LED is either on or off, it is dependent on the LEDs polarity when the power supply is supplying a
positive voltage, as well as variant on the amount of voltage given by the power supply.

Resistance R=501 Ω
For the above AC circuits, the DMM replaced by the obtained a voltage of 5 V with a Resistor of 501 Ω. This
voltage compares with the measurement made by the DMM pretty closely.
