DEPARTMENT ORDER) SUBJECT: MONITORING AND COORDINATION OF

FARM-TO-MARKET ROAD PROJECTS

In the interest of the service and pursuant to the provisions of Sections 6 and
37 of Executive Order No. 124, series of 1987, the overall monitoring and
coordination of farm-to-market road projects funded under the Farm-to-Market Road
(FMR) Development Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA) are hereby
placed under the DPWH Project Management Office for Rural Water
Supply/Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Projects (PMO-RWS/CARP)
under the direct supervision and control of the concerned Undersecretary for
Operations.

The PMO-RWS/CARP, utilizing its existing resources, shall closely coordinate

with the DA on matters relating to the identification and funding of FMR projects. It
shall provide directions to the various implementing offices to facilitate the
procurement activities and actual implementation of the projects in accordance with
prescribed schedules. It shall also maintain updated periodic reports on the status of
implementation of FMR projects nationwide, including statistics on employment
generated from the projects.

All officials and employees of the Department are called upon to support the
speedy implementation of FMR projects, subject to existing guidelines, laws and
implementing rules and regulations.

This Order supersedes previous issuances to the contrary and shall take
effect immediately.
