What is the difference between belief and attitude?

Attitude can be considered the sum of beliefs. A person can have many beliefs about
a phenomenon (positive and negative). This person will have an attitude toward that
phenomenon based on the overall evaluation of her beliefs. . (Refer to Ajzen, I.,
1991. "The theory of planned behavior,"
Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Elsevier, vol. 50(2), pages
179-211, December.)

survivors sometimes later report that they could not bring themselves to tell
of a loss because telling amounts to an acknowledgment of reality

Or, more
extremely, it may appear to the bereaved that the telling will make the loss
real.

According to the life satisfaction

view, the happy person is satisfied with her life and views it favorably.11

which are seven factors that have

consistently been found to have a huge impact on peoples happiness, and
they include family relationships, financial situation, work, community and
friends, health, personal freedom, and personal values.

If someone is sad, it simply implies she is

dissatisfied with all (or some important part of) her life

the loss of a loved one underscores(drawa line unnder a word ,shows)

the distinction between one self and another, and highlights the limits of our
control over the presence and absence of our loved ones in our lives (and,
indeed, in the world).

Theres a hole in the world now. In the place where he was, theres now just
nothing. A center, like no other, of memory and hope and knowledge and affection
which once inhabited this earth is gone. Only a gap remains.5

(the
belief that x has died along with the desire that x not have died).

1.superiority.

humour arises from the feeling superior to something else. means we feel smarter
than them

they r stupid than us.

2.relief.
release of tension and nervous energy.

3.incongruity.

humor arises from expections being dashed.

what we expect and what we presented are different.

this expalin the rule of three.

in comedy ,where 2 examples used to set up an expectation

of what will happend next where 3rd will serve to subvert that explanation.

if the greater the difference between expection and result then it is more funnier.
joke.

4.play.
something was once thought to be serious but not.

if everyone worried about something dangerous, but it turns out to be innoscent.

we laugh to relieve that tension and signal to the group it is okay.

something that wont fit pattern are funny because that reminds
us that we are listening to something menat to be comin not serious.

if someone is trying to be taken seriously anfd we laugh at them

we r being superior by making them appear less serious .

pattern is repeatable sequence of nuetral activity or a pattern is repeatable

image concept ,idea

a pattern should be repeatable,usable,recognizable..

the arrangement of information into anothe pattern is insight restructuring.

lateral thinking is not stabilizing but provocative.

a problem is simply the difference between what one has and what one wants

lateral thinking means generating alternative patterns insted of moving straight.

humour and insight

as with the plastic pieces there is often an alternative way of arranging available
infornation,

this means that there is switch over to another arrangement

if the switch over is temporary it gives rise to humour,

if it is permanent it gives rise to insight.

'How can I know what I think till I see what I say?'1 A similar thought was
expressed by Robert Motherwell: 'I would say that most good painters don't know
what they think until they paint it.'

we know our own minds in exactly the same way we know

the minds of others, by observing what we say, do, and paint.

THE ONLY AVAILBLE MENTOD FOR CHANGING THE IDEAS IS CONFLICT

WHICH WORKS IN2 WAYS

1.HEAD ON CONFRONTION BETWEEN OPPOSING IDEAS.

ONE IDEA ACHIEVES DOMINANCE OVER OTHER HERE WHICH IS SUPPRESSED BUT NOT CHANGED.

2.CONFLICT BETWEEN NEW IDEA AND OLD ONE SO OLD HAS TO BE CHANGED.

THE MIND FUNCTIONS TO CREATE PATTERNS OUT OF IT'S SURROUNDINGS,

ONCE THEY R FORMED THEN IT BECOMES POSSIBLE TO RECOGNIZE THEM

TO USE THEM,TO REACT TO THEM,

THE PURPOSE OF THINKING IS TO COLLECT INFO AND MAKE BEST USE OF IT.
