Replacement of Expansion Joint by removing rich mix cement concrete near

Supplying, Fitting and fixing in position true to line and level POT - PTFE bearing
consisting of metal piston supported by a disc or urireinforced elastomer confined
within a metal cylinder, sealing rings, dust seals, PTFE surface sliding against stainless

respectively, water cement ratio ranging from 0.35 to 0.50, density of gunite not less

Providing & construction of temporary cofer dam during the construction period by
using
required material such as, soil, murmur, sand. boulders & sand bags for a average RMT
width of 6m , dismantling the same after construction activities completed, disposal of all
excavated material including labour, machinery, loading & unloading etc. complete to the
satisfaction of EIC. complete item till the end of the project.
Providing and applying two coats of anti-carbonation paint of approved manufacturer(Asian
Paints, Nerolac, Jotun, Burger) and approved colour to the concrete or plastered surface
including cleaning and preparing surface (cleaning , grinding, putti), applying primer coat Sqm
using brush and roller , scaffolding to all leads if necessary with all equipments, labour
and
materials etc complete as directed by engineer in charge
Lifting of Deck Slab for replacement of Bearings including staging,arrangement of Jacks and
its accessories complete, labour, material for all height and leads as required on site.
The contractor has to do the work with moving traffic on the deck. The necessary

coordination & permission as required from PMC & traffic department has to be done
by contractor at his own cost. The Jack capacity is considered with respect to the span
of the Bridge. Upto 16 in span.
Removing of steel bearing by gas cutting, Repairing bearing surface, welding etc.

Removal of weeds/plants including removal of entire root inside the bridge portion. Remains
of the root of the weeds/plants shall be treated with special chemical to ensure
complete burning of the roots. The roots shall be cut off minimum 50 mm within the
structure & pulled out wherever possible. Top 50 mm portion will be filled with non Sqm
shrink, high strength grout (totally impervious, AC-GOURT — He of Apple Chemie or
Equivalent). The joining shall be followed by proper pointing work to match with the
original bridge joints.
Protection to the old masonary structure:- Repairs to the old pointing work.:- The
pointing
shall be done with a special mix made with cement 1 part, water 2 parts & polymer, AC-
Sqm
POLYCRETE 5% by weight of cement. The pointing shall be pushed into the joint
wherever joints are opened. Finishing shall be watching with the old heritage of the
bridge. The pointing shall not be run over the stone work. Excessive stain, if any shall
be removed by
contractor at its own cost.
Providing machine mixing using automatic batch mixing plant , transporting .pumping
and
laying controlled M15 grade plain cement concrete (PCC) in foundation and other
locations. Compacting,curing required shuttering and it's renewal bailling/pumping out
water to keep the site dry all times, cleaning, preparing surface etc., complete for all
heights, depths and leads as per the drawing and specifications all as directed by the
engineer -in-charge complete to his satisfaction.
Providing and laying cement concrete of M-40 trap granite/quartzite gneiss/metal for
open
foundation etc. including compacting by vibrating and curing complete (excluding finishing
with cement plaster) including fonn work and bailing out of water. l)50% of river sand
and 50% crush sand.

PICC Coating for concrete Bridge repair work :-Providing and applying Poly Ironite
Ceramic Cementitious (PICC) ,High Abrasion resistant , Non shrink ,High strength,UV
resistant, repair mortar coating on bond coat DuraBond of concrete surface upto 10 mm
thickness including Cleaning the concrete surface of bridge by grinding the surface by
grinder machine with wire brush /diamond wheel, removing existing loose particles etc. 9\s5§. o o Sqm
by using grinder, wire brush,breaker machine, water jet(using other mechanical / manual
means) also removing of algae fungi by special chemical of clonon. Also applying top
coat DuraBond on PICC to seal the concrete surface and reduce the porosity

Removal of Vegitation/Plants:- Removal of entire root inside the bridge portion. Remains
of the root shall be treated with special chemical Steripure MBT 20. Top 50 mm shall
filled with high strength grout (DuraGrout of Dimple chemicals) including cost of all
material, machinery, labour, scaffolding, etc.
Surface Preparation TMT Bars,Steel Structure, Etc.:-Cleaning the exposed steel
structure, TMT bars, etc. of bridge portion by grinding the surface by grinder machine,
wire brush, removing existing corrosion from the metal using special chemical like
DuraClean-W also removing loose particles. of the area by using grinder, wire brush.
w'ater jet, (using other mechanical / manual weans) with all leads and lifts, Material,
Machinary, Labours, scaffolding etc. complete as per specification and as directed by
engineer-in-charge.
