Important! The exact performance impact on any given database cannot be assessed without testing. The performance
degradation is proportional to the volume of audited statements. Be sure to plan a detailed auditing strategy before using
auditing, and then test the performance impact on one's own environments.
As mentioned above, auditing performance is related to audit record volume. Consequently, in situations where many audit
records are being (or have already been) generated, this can have a negative impact on auditing performance.
