Certainty in paper input
The problem with many small multifunctional devices is their
limited paper feed. In a busy office that means staff have to
frequently refill the paper or replace the toner – a time-con-
suming business. The D 13F, in contrast, is in a league of its
own with a time-saving paper capacity of up to 1,050 sheets
and an economical, long-lasting toner.

around at the machine. But whereas
many small devices offer only limited
capacity, the D 13F has a 80-page
ADF that’s big enough for almost all
originals.

Security for sensitive documents

If your office deals with sensitive documents, the DEVELOP
D 13F has two features you won’t want to miss:

• Password-protected scan box: The D 13F allows 20 indivi-

dual scan boxes to be set up, each protected by a security
code. In this way sensitive documents can be scanned and
stored with access restricted to authorised personnel.
• Protected fax reception: Some faxes should only be read
by the intended recipient. That’s why the D 13F allows you
to restrict fax reception by means of a four-digit security
code. Incoming faxes can only be released by the adminis-
trator and once printed, are deleted from the fax memory.
This security feature can also be programmed to function at
specific times.

If you need to keep a tighter control on costs in your office,

the D 13F has a security feature that will help you save
money:
• Cost centre security: Up to 100 cost centres can be set up,
each one protected by a four-digit security code and de-
scribed by up to 24 letters.
Convenience in faxing
Whether you’re printing, faxing, scanning or copying, the
D 13F is perfectly easy to use. For example, all you have to
do to switch from copying to faxing to scanning is simply
press a button. But special mention has to be made of the
convenience this machine offers in faxing:

• 40 one-touch buttons on a convenient one-touch key panel
for frequently used fax numbers
• 160 speed-dial numbers with three-digit identifier codes
• 32 call-group numbers enable you to send the same fax
message to many different recipients
• iFax (Internet faxing), an option that saves telephone
charges on international faxes
Versatility in printing, scanning and copying
Some small office devices are more mono- than multifunc-
tional, e.g. printers with a few added functions. The D 13F, in
contrast, has a lot of beneficial features – not only as a fax but
also in its printing, scanning and copying functions:
• Scanning: Though the D 13F prints in b/w, it scans in colour
– a feature few devices of this size can match. Its TWAIN
(“pull-scan”) feature allows users to scan direct from their
PC while the “push-scan” alternative enables originals
scanned at the machine to be directed to any of the 20 se-
cure scan boxes.
• Copying: The D 13F offers a number of useful features and
copies at 13 ppm in outstanding b/w quality.
For small offices the DEVELOP D 13F offers a dynamic bal-
ance of economical output, functional versatility and security

• Printing: The D 13F comes with a standard GDI controller,

which is ideal for everyday office applications. But if com-
plex graphics or non-Windows applications are used, the
optional PCL controller is an attractive alternative. Which-
ever driver is chosen, the D 13F guarantees clear, crisp out-
put for text or graphics. Another useful option in a multi-user
office environment is the network interface card.
