AA -50 to 250 0 to 150 ± (0.1 + 0.0017 | t |)
A -100 to 450 -30 to 300 ± (0.15 + 0.002 | t |)
B -196 to 600 -50 to 500 ± (0.3 + 0.005 | t |)
C -196 to 600 -50 to 600 ± (0.6 + 0.01 | t |)

| t | = temperature in 
C without regard to sign.
The temperature -196  C is close to the boiling point of nitrogen (N) which is used for calibration.

C. Comments
Compared to the earlier versions of this standard the present one has been adapted to cover more models of
Pt100 detectors (resistors). Where resistors are fulfilling extended or smaller ranges of validity or other
tolerance classes, this must be clearly stated between manufacturer and user.

The tolerance classes apply to all detector values (R 0) at 0 

C, i. e. Pt100, Pt1000 and others.

The relationship temperature-resistance has not been changed compared to the previous standard.
