Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Tuesday afternoon posted bail at the Makati Regional

Trial Court (RTC) Branch 150 following his arrest in connection with President Rodrigo
Duterte's cancellation of his amnesty.

Trillanes went through booking procedures at the Makati PNP and was transported to the
court for the positing bail.

Makati Judge Elmo Alameda hours earlier granted the Department of Justice's motion for
the issuance of a warrant of arrest and a hold departure order against him for the rebellion
charge related to the Manila Peninsula Siege in 2007.

The 22-page order set bail at P200,000 as per a 2010 court directive.

According to Senate Sergeant-At-Arms, retired Army Major General Jose Balajadia,

National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Guillermo Eleazar arrived at the
Senate compound past 2 p.m. and presented him with the arrest warrant ᄃ.

Shortly after undergoing booking procedures ᄃ at the Makati police station, Trillanes
arrived at the Makati RTC past 4 p.m.

According to Super Radyo dzBB's Sam Neilsen, the senator signed the court undertaking
and had undergone a medical examination at RTC's clinic.

Trillanes was released late in the afternoon after undergoing court procedures.

He returned to the Senate and arrived at the premises around 5:20 p.m.

The court upheld the validity of President Rodrigo Duterte's proclamation cancelling the
amnesty former President Benigno Aquino III gave Trillanes.

The proclamation said the amnesty was void because Trillanes didn't apply for the
amnesty, an allegation the senator had sought to disprove with several submissions to the
court.
