The county experienced sunny intervals from Wednesday to Friday. On Saturday and Sunday some
parts of the county experienced light to moderate showers as had been predicted. The rainfall was
however heavy over the western side of the county on Sunday when Ngong station recorded 29.7mm.
On Monday, it spread to several places but reduced in intensity. Figure 1 below shows the rainfall
distribution during the period.

2. FORECAST FOR THE PERIOD 17TH TO 23RD OCTOBER 2018


The county is expected to experience morning rains over few places and afternoon showers over
several places on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, rainfall might occur over few places in the
morning but it’s likely to clear in the afternoon. From Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon, sunny
intervals are expected to dominate though there is a slight chance of showers over few places on
Sunday afternoon/evening. On Monday and Tuesday, the county might experience morning rains and
afternoons showers over few places. The rainfall is expected to be of moderate intensity but it might
be heavy on Thursday.
