MOVE IT: FAMILY DANCE OFF

A. MECHANICS

a. Each group will perform to any dance music with a maximum time limit of 5
minutes. Beyond this limit, a total of five (5) points will be deducted from the
group’s total score.
b. Each group will have a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 8 members.
c. The members of the group may be composed (parent and student) of all males or
females, or any
combination thereof.
d. The dance number must have the accompaniment of a modern and lively music.
e. Folk dances or accompaniment of folk music is not allowed.
f. The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke or combustible materials as props is
not allowed.

B. CRITERIA
The criteria for judging are the following:

a. Choreography (Creativity, Artistry, Style & Originality) 50%


b. Execution (Timing & Coordination, Projection & Expression) 30%
c. Costume 10%
d. Audience Impact 10%
