 The global battery market is about $50 billion US, of which roughly $5.5 billion is allocated to
rechargeable (secondary) batteries. The growth is estimated at 6% annually. China, India, Brazil,
the Czech Republic and South Korea will record some of the strongest market gains.

The demand for lead acid batteries is governed by vehicle production. Battery replacements have
decreased as new technologies have extended battery life by 6 months. With the switch to electronic
braking and steering by wire in upscale cars, the 3kW capability of the single 12-volt battery will no longer
be sufficient, ushering in the 42-volt system. Two 12-volt batteries may be the interim solution.

Technology

 Adopting by the Smart Control System, it is providing for a variable tolerance on the input & output of the voltage and current for
batteries. That is, this product is controlled on minute electric current and voltage at the optimal ways when each different
restoration and charge by several type of batteries. This will be possible to restore and charge the large capacity of the battery
as well as it reduced weight, size and cost comparing with transformer types. When export, it covers for a variable input voltage
and power in every countries.

 With our proprietary know-how and technology, we made the highest charging efficiency by mounting for the optimal charging
algorithm data classified by most of the world battery types and characters. It can be restored to the original performance through
charging and regenerating without any electrical and physical damaging to the battery. It also makes to extend the life time of battery.

 This product minimizes on the damage to the battery by automatically controlled for a wide input and output of the miniscule current
and voltage up to 0.01 to prevent over voltage through the Smart Control System and Charging Algorithm to the battery. So, it is

Technology

 What are the differences against regular chargers

The main reason of battery’s damage is caused by the sulfate which is clinging to the battery electrodes. That is, it was not charged by
a charging pattern method (It is our know-how that a special charging method by optimized charging pattern algorithm classified by battery
kinds & features), but a general charging method.

Therefore, our products have a sustaining effect to make two times longer life comparing with regular chargers which just regenerated by
a single voltage & current. The big difference between ZEUS Regenerator and regular chargers, regular chargers will be charging without
considering the battery condition or character by a simple constant current or a constant voltage charging method. It has a possibility to
make a potential damage of battery due to overcharging. In order to resolve it, there will be needed for a worker to be checked for
the voltage of the battery in charging, and there will be poor charging efficiency.

In case of ZEUS Regenerator, we made the highest charging efficiency by mounting for the optimal charging algorithm data and
Smart Control System classified by most of the world battery types and characters, with our proprietary know-how and innovative

1. The world first developed and applied on the Smart Control System as the battery regenerator
and Auto restoring & charging patterns programmed classified by battery’s kinds & type.
- When restoring and charging by each of the different type of batteries, it is automatically controlled by voltage
and current in an optimized way (Can be restoring and charging for input voltage and current of various
batteries - Fine control of voltage and current of 0.01)

2. Acceptable Battery Voltages : Supporting up to DC2V ~ DC96V by one unit.


- If a car battery is 12V, ZEUS will be charged and restored for batteries with a parallel connection
up to 8 batteries (12V x 8 pcs. = 96V) at the same time. (Optimum restoring would be 6 pcs.)

3. Allowable capacity of the battery : Restoring up to 1,000Ah battery by one unit.


If the car battery has a capacity of about 55~60Ah. As ZEUS supports up to 1,000Ah capacity,
it can be charging and restoring for big volume batteries such as Fork Lift, Golf Cart and Industrial Use.

6. Removing pollutants(sulfate)inside battery and charging simultaneously


When using the battery for a long time, inside the battery lead (Acid) is rusted more and more by the sulfate.
This makes the lower of the ability to charge the battery as well as Battery Life, therefore, it can not be charged
any more though it is a rechargeable battery. ZEUS removes the sulfate by the high-frequency method and it
allows to restore the battery charging ability and its life.

On the ZEUS regeneration process since the sulfate is removed, it is prevented to accumulate the sulfate
on the lead again. And it keeps the restored state.

Any common simple charging method can not be removed for the sulfate in the battery, therefore, the life time
to be efficiently used would be 3 years only. However, battery life can be extended to over five years by ZEUS's
restoration capability.

9. ZEUS allows to equalize the performance of the battery's all cells.


Improve the performance of the inferior cells.
If using a battery which is consisting of multiple cells, the performance of a inferior cell is severely degraded
after the lapse of time. ZEUS will find these inferior cells by an internal program, and improves the performance.
This acts a role to equalize the performance of the whole cells.

1. Battery Test
 First of all, check the appearance of battery. If the battery is badly damaged and broken in appearance and it has a trace
to the electrolyte flows through the broken gap , the restoration is impossible.

 After checking the appearance of battery, check the battery’s voltage, CCA, internal resistance and electrolyte’s gravity
by the battery test equipment in order to identify the actual initial state.

2. Battery Discharging Process


 Initial checking voltage is more than standard value, discharging test will be performed to verify the capacity of the battery.
 Initial checking voltage is less than standard value, discharging process will be abbreviated and doing restoration process.

3. Battery Restore and Charge Process


 After setting values of ZEUS regenerator for battery kinds and characters, making a progress of restore and charge by
selecting the most optimal charging curve to fit the battery characteristics. During charging, a slight increase charging voltage
is a normal.

If a car battery is 12V, ZEUS will be restored and charged up to 8 batteries at the same time in parallel
connection ( 12V x 8 pcs.= 96V). Usually, fully discharged car battery becoming impossible to use, it is
regenerating for about 20 hours by ZEUS regenerator as the above 4 steps.

 In case of a car battery, it has a capacity of 55~80Ah. ZEUS can be regenerated for large capacity
batteries as it is supported up to 1,000Ah. In case of electric folk lifts using large capacity batteries,
it can be regenerated for 2~3 forklift’s batteries at the same time by one ZBR-101 or ZBR-201.

The high proportion of sulfuric acid will be the same as the high concentrations of the pure electrolyte.

 Due to a long time use, the internal resistance value in the battery interfering the normal current
flowing will be increased. This makes the performance lowering of the battery itself along with the
charging ability. However, we restored them by ZEUS and we found that the internal resistance has

The weight of Competitor’s Regenerators are very heavy (180~300kg), and hard to move. So, all batteries should be moved to the regenerating factory to make

How do batteries work?
 When the two dissimilar metal plates are immersed in acid they create a voltage
 This voltage is created by the concentrating Negative Ions on the negative plates
and Positive Ions on the positive plates

How do batteries work?


 As batteries discharge the acid is turned to water and the lead plates are turned into lead sulfate
 When both plates are turned to lead sulfate the battery is discharged or dead

How many volts does one battery cell produce?


 1 cell = 2.1 volts
 How many cells in a 12 volt battery ? = 6 cells
 How many volts in a 12 volt battery ? = 12.6 volts
 How can you get 12.6 volts out of a bunch of 2.1 volt cells ? = wire them in series

 How do diesel vehicles get 24 volts for starting ? = wiring 2-12 volt, or 4-6 volt batteries in series

1. Starting Batteries

 The function of the battery is to start the engine

 Then the generator will run all electrical loads.

 Some Recreational Vehicles use both a starting battery and a deep cycle battery.

 The deep cycle battery is not hooked to the starter motor.

 If you allow a starting battery to slowly go dead it will “SULFATE”

 This happens when lead sulfate (formed when a battery discharges) crystallizes on the surface of the lead plates.

 This will not allow the battery to fully recharge

 Sometimes a sulfated battery will not recharge at all.

2. Deep Cycle batteries
 Some RV and Marine batteries are different
 They are intended to operate smaller electrical loads (lights, 12 volt accessories, trolling motors etc.) for long
periods of time without being recharged.
 They are called Deep Cycle batteries as they can withstand many cycles of long slow discharging followed by
long slow charging.
 Rapid discharging (like the hundreds of amps pulled by a starter motor) will ruin a Deep Cycle battery…
...it will overheat the plates.

How do I determine the battery State of charge?


 Use a hydrometer and compensate for the temperature of the battery
 As a battery discharges the acid turns to water
 Acid is thicker and will float the hydrometer scale higher
 A fully charged battery cell has a “specific gravity” of 1.265 at 80 degrees

Hydrometer Testing
 A colder battery will measure higher as cold liquid is thicker
 A cold battery may look charged actually be undercharged
 Check each cell…
 …If the lowest cell is .050 points lower than the highest cell the battery is defective
 If water has just been added to the battery it will give a false hydrometer reading

What if there are no removable vent caps?


 Some batteries include a built in hydrometer.
 This checks one cell only
 Indicates the battery is at least 75% charged when green (or not black/clear)
 You can also test a battery state of charge with a volt meter

 12.2 V = 50% charged

My battery reads 13.2 Volts..Is it overcharged ?


 Some recombinant batteries maintain a slightly higher open circuit voltage
 Normal batteries will also register a surface charge.
 This is not an accurate reading of the state of charge

Do I really have to do all this before testing the battery?


Only if the battery fails the load test
 If the battery passes the capacity or load test…
 ...the battery is good.
 If the battery fails the load (or capacity) test…
 ...let it sit for five minutes…
 ...recheck the open circuit voltage.
 If voltage is below 12.6 volts, recharge the battery and run a second load test

How do I recharge the battery?


 The best way is with a slow (or trickle) charge.
 Leave the charger unplugged when connecting the battery, to avoid sparks and potential explosion
 Batteries are most prone to explosion after load testing, jump starting, or cranking the engine
 Trickle charging will give the most complete charge and is easiest on the battery

How long do I leave it on fast charge?


 Leaving a battery on high charge is risky.
 If it is sulfated the voltage will quickly rise above 15 volts and overheat the battery.
 Also if the battery has a shorted cell the voltage may stay low it will begin to gas excessively
 This will create hydrogen gas that may explode.

How do I monitor the battery?


Check the voltage across the terminals with the charger on.
 If it gets over 15 volts turn off the charger or slow the rate of charge.

Feel the case of the battery,


 if it gets hot it is overcharging
 all batteries will get warm,
 practice to know hot from warm

Look, listen and smell for gassing.


 If you see lots of bubbles through the battery case (white case) turn down the charger.
 If you smell the gas, turn down the charger.
 Leave the vent caps on.
 Turn off and unplug the charger BEFORE removing the charging cables from the battery.

Load Testing or Battery Capacity Testing


 If the battery recovered to 12.6 volts…
 ... but dropped below 9.6 volts during the load test
 Recommend a new battery

What do I do with the old, junk battery?


 Batteries contain hazardous lead and other nasty things

 It is illegal to place them in the trash or landfill.
 Any business that sells batteries…
