Biology 20 Semester Assignment

October Check-Up
To ensure you are working on your big semester assignment you will need to
hand in an updated proposal to Ms. Jacobson. In this proposal you must state:

Articles Option:

a) You need to state which project you have chosen to do and why you chose
this project (**NOTE: Only answer this question if you have decided to
change your project. Explain WHY you have decided to change)

b) You need to provide the names of at least 5 NEW articles that you have
decided you will use, where you found them and 3-5 sentences explaining
what they are about. NOTE: If you decided to switch to this topic after the
September Check-Up you NEED to discuss seven articles, not just five)

c) You need to include a works cited to demonstrate which sources you have
looked at so far ** The Works Cited must be typed and in proper format!
Refer to your Bibliography help sheet if you need to!**

d) You need to indicate what format you are going to use to hand-in this
assignment. Remember, you are being given a grade for your creativity!

e) You need to hand in your September Proposal, stapled to the back of this
new proposal

Storybook Option:

a) You need to state which project you have chosen to do and why you chose
this project (**NOTE: Only answer this question if you have decided to
change your project. Explain WHY you have decided to change)

b) You need to indicate at least 3 sources you have looked at and decided will
be helpful. You must explain why these sources will be helpful in at least 3-5
sentences
 c) You need to discuss what topic you have chosen. This topic must be a very
FOCUSED topic. Simply stating which unit you have chosen is not enough.
You must indicate which 8 concepts you will be covering in your storybook
that are connected to this topic.

d) You need to explain the storyline of your storybook in a short paragraph.

How do you plan on incorporating your 8 concepts?

e) You must include a works cited to demonstrate which sources you have
looked at so far ** The Works Cited must be typed and in proper format!

Research Paper Option:

a) You need to state which project you have chosen to do and why you chose
this project (**NOTE: Only answer this question if you have decided to
change your project. Explain WHY you have decided to change)

b) You need to indicate at least 3 sources you have looked at and decided will
be helpful. You must explain why these sources will be helpful in at least 3-5
sentences

c) You need to discuss what topic you have chosen. This topic must be a very
FOCUSED topic. Simply stating which unit you have chosen is not enough.
You must explain what you going to be discussing in your essay. Remember,
essays are meant to prove something. Therefore, you need to ask some sort
of question in your introductory paragraph. What is this question that you
are trying to answer?
