Utilising the foyer and stage of Theater Bonn’s Werkstatt-

bühne we staged a ‘processing centre’ for future environ-
mental crisis, directing local refugees. In partnership
with Umweltbundesamt Deutschland (German Environ-
ment Bureau) for COP 23, Bonn. With Sonja Hornung.
Performing Non-withdrawal (2017)

A practical workship for climate narratives, this event

took the form of a provocative paper regarding climate
change, migration and identity, followed by a partici-
patory demonstration of exercises and a short perfor-
mance. Part of Voila Festival of European Theatre.
B5 Residency + ‘Bought and Sold’(2017)
Residency, performance and installation
Targu Mures - Timisoara - Sfantu Gheorghe

This two-week residency with visual artist Sonja Hornung explored

the archives of Hungarian-speaking artists in Romania’s B5 studios,
and Baia Mare’s former Esmerelda mining disaster. We finished with
an art auction performance, and installation for Timisaora Biennale
and Magma in Sfantu Gheorge
Croatian Climate Change of Indonesia (2016)
Performance Lecture
Zagreb - Smederevo (SRB) - Bucharest
50 mins

For this performance lecture, I inhabited the fictional role

of an Australian climate academic in Indonesia. Delivered
completely in Indonesian with no subtitles, the European
audience was required to decipher information about cli-
mate change from the frustration - a metaphor of public
communciation.
Theaterstück(2013-)
Critical Writing Platform
Berlin/Europe

Since 2013, amongst other writing projects, I have

written theatre criticism regularly at my own platform
Theaterstück. Nominally about theatre in Berlin, it has
grown to include many festivals of Europe. I hope to
challenge the idea of a theatre critic, given the unfa-
vourable conditions for this practice.
End of Species (2014-15)
Monodrama
UK (London, Exeter, Edinburgh, Cardiff)
110 mins

In 2013 I traveled without flying from Australia to

Berlin to investigate climate change. A dramatic
monologue resulted, together with research into
Charles Darwin’s voyage 180 years earlier, speculat-
ing on the future of humanity. It was accompanied
by forum discussions with climate scientists.
Public Speaking (2015)
Performance Lecture and workshop
Berlin
2-day workshop

This workshop saw me lead participants in a critical in-

vestigation into ‘pick-up artists’ - a phenomenon which
borders hate speech and manipulation of women. Par-
ticipants wrote 10 speeches during the 2-day workshop,
finally delivering one outside Brandenburg Gate. I also
delivered a performance lecture impersonating the Slo-
venian philosopher Slavoj Žižek, ‘Artist Development’.
People Spoke (2013)
Performance
Melbourne - Yogyakarta - Kolkata - Bu-
charest - Pristina - Lutsk - Venice - Berlin
50 mins

Half mime and half performance lecture, People Spoke

is a provocation and tribute to protest within a global-
ly-emergent discourse of collectivity. It was performed
in many countries as I tried to travel from Australia to
Berlin without flying.
