Nicole, provided opportunities for students to review academic vocabulary with other students as well as with teacher. Try using supplemental resources (ex. white
boards, short video clips, tablets) to enhance learning when available. Is there an area of your classroom that you can post/hang anchoring charts with academic
vocabulary, visual representations, and example/non-examples posted? Thinking about what might help your lowest ELL students may also help all students.

I noticed one word problem on the worksheet. Is there another way that students can create/write and solve more relevant word problems? This may help them become
more engaged learners and lead to more content understanding and application. For example, where are linear functions in everyday life? Why is this lesson or vocabulary
important and relevant to the students (have the students make personal connections/applications)?
