1. In “In the Woods”, techer introduce the phonemes /ʊ/ (represented by oo) by imitating the
chattering of the monkey, /u:/ (represented by oo) the hoot of an owl and /a:/ (represented
by ar) the caw of the crow.
2. Teacher divide the pupils into three groups.
ACTIVITIES
3. Each of the group will get “oo”, “oo” and “ar” sounds.
4. Teacher will point to the group and the group will say the sound.
5. Teacher ask the pupils to copy 13 words that have “ar” sound in the word bank book.(MS)
6. Teacher ask the pupils to copy 6 words that have “ar” sound in the word bank book.(LBI)
