 Which kinds of music are traditional in your country?

The traditional music that exists in my country, are the mariachis and the band.
 Which instruments do people play for these kinds of music?
The people play instruments, like guitars, violins, trumpets.
 Is the music usually happy or sad?
The songs they sing are usually very happy and sometimes sad.
 Does it tell a story?
The mariachis usually brighten birthdays or traditional festive dates of my country,
singing and playing with their instruments brighten up the atmosphere at parties.

Traditional Musical Instruments

 Name some traditional musical instruments from your country.
The traditional instruments in Mexico are Mexican requinto, jarana jarocha and
vihuela.
 Can you hear them in classical music, jazz or pop music?
They are more traditionalists and I guess they do not usually play that kind of musical
genres.
 Are these instruments still popular with young people today?
The instruments of traditional music in my country are less and less used among
young people.
 Do you like the sound they make?
The sounds that these instruments emit are pleasant.

Venues
 Where can you hear traditional music? In theaters, cafes, restaurants, clubs,
bars on the street?
This type of music is mainly played in commemorative centers or usually in bars.
 Are there any festivals for this kind of music?
There are festivals of band music, but the music of the mariachis is more
traditionalist.

The most famous artists are Banda el Recodo, Banda Ms, Gerardo Ortíz and others.
