Nicomb Surasak is a static antagonist because he had a fight with Chalong and acted bad to the
poorer people. He might changed a little to be more responsible because he came back to his wife
and treated her but in my perspective, he did not change, he just acted nice to his wife but he
remained the same. He was still mad at Chalong and did not want to acted good at him.
Beggar is a static protagonist, she was poor and everyone acted bad to her until Chalong helped
her.
Mr.Sang (Coffee shop’s owner), Shopkeeper is a dynamic antagonist. At first he met Chalong, he

PLOT LINE
(BRIEFLY explain what is asked for in each number)
2. RISING ACTION
A. Do you find the series of events easy to follow? Why or Why not?
Yes, it is because the story took place in Thailand, so it was more easy to follow by the settings
and the Thai words. The actions and events in the story were also simple which made it easy to
understand.
It is when Chalong had a fight with Nicomb. It was so Thai when the people were telling them to
fight each other like they were watching the Thai-boxing program.
C. Identify ONE figure of speech or idiom used by the writer in this part of the plot, and explain its
meaning.
The writer used a lot of “imagery” to picture out the actions. For example on the Chalong and
Nicomb’s fighting part, “Nicomb’s face changed from scarlet to purple,” it made us see how mad
was he.
