From 2011 to 2014, city water supply networks were expanded in
Pyinmana, Ottarathiri, Dekhinathiri and Pobbathiri Townships. New water
treatment plants, water storage tanks, pump stations, deep tube well
development, waste water treatment works and water resource conservation
works were carried out. The total number of connection was increased from

Nowadays , total number of connection in Nay Pyi Taw is 72% of
urban population of Nay Pyi Taw City has access to treated water(potable
water) and distribution capacity is over 15 million gallons per day.

the only one in Nay Pyi Taw City. Treatment capacity is 1600 m3 per day. The
coverage of sewage treatment plant is Mingalathidi quarter for 10000 peoples.
Sewage from household is piped to collecting sump. From sump to main
collecting sump, and to treatment plant, sewage is piped by sewage pumps.
Every day, about 100,000 gallons of sewage is treated at this plant. Finally,
