The AMS fonts contain also cyrillic font sets. These cyrillic fonts were developed at or
under the direction of the University of Washington Humanities and Arts Computing
Center, and are distributed with their permission. The fonts are based on Computer
Modern letter shapes. Type styles include ordinary upright, bold (based on CM bold
extended), caps and small caps, italic, and upright sans serif. The principal text fonts
(upright, italic and boldface) are present in sizes from 5 through 10 point; sans serif is
in sizes 8, 9 and 10 point; caps and small caps are in 10 point only.
With the cyrillic.sty package it’s quite easy to write texts containing cyrillic char-
acters. The package was originaly designed by Helmut Kopka, see Helmut Kopka’s book
“LATEX: Ergänzungen” by Addison-Wesley-Longman, 1997.
Load the package cyrillic.sty with
\usepackage[cyronly]{cyrillic}
\usepackage[cyrpart]{cyrillic}
Now the default fonts are not changed but cyrillic.sty povides the macros

\textcyrbf, \textcyrmd, \textcyrit, \textcyrsl, \textcyrsc, \textcyrup and
\emcyr. Tabele 1 shows how cyrillic letters are put in. E.g to count in Russian language
