1994, certifies that this equipment or protective system has heen found to comply with the Essential Health and
Safety Requirements relating to the design and construction of equipment and protective systems intended for use in
potentially explosive atmospheres given in Annex lito the Directive.
The examination and test results are recorded in confidential Report No. GB/BAS/ExTR09.0191/00
9 Compliance with the Essential Health and Safety Requirements has been assured by compliance with:
EN 60079-0: 2009, E '60079-1: 2007, EN 60079-7: 2007 and lEC 60079-31: 2008
except in respect of those requirements listed at item 18 of the Schedule.
10 If the sign "X" is placed after the certificate number, it indicates that the equipment or protective system is subject
to special conditions for safe use specified in the schedule to this certificate.
II This EC - TYPE EXAMINATION CERTIFICATE relates only to the design and construction of the specified
equipment or prOlective system. Further requirements of the Directive apply to the manufacturing process and
supply of this equipment or protective system. These are not covered by this certificate.

15 Description of Equipment or Protective System

The 70 Series Go Switch with Connection Head, comprises of:-

The connection head, which is a 068mm x 56mm alwninium tenninal box and screwed on lid complete with 3 or 6 off
Ex e II PCB pin mounted tenllinal blocks and I PCB pin mounted earth terminal, Phoenix type FRONT 2,5 .... The PCB
wire connections are mechanically secured using epoxy resin. The connection head has two threaded entry holes in bosses
in the box wall that may be M20xl.5P, \'."NPT or y,' PT. One entry hole is for a suitable IECEx certified cable gland and
tbe other entry is filled with a TOPWORX 70 Series GO Switch to IECEx BAS08.0122X via a suitably certified y," male
NPT to NPT adaptor.

17 Special Conditions for Safe Use

I. The 70 Series Go Switch with Connection Head assembly shall be suitably earthed by its installation via the male
thread of the Go Switch body.

2. Do not allow dust layers to build up on this product.

3. All terminal screws, used and unused, shall be fully tightened down by the end user.

4. No more than one single or multi-stranded lead shall be connected to the terminal unless multiple conductors have
been joined in a suitable manner, e.g. two conductors into a single insulated bootlace ferrule, or any method
indicated on the terminal certificate.

5. All tenninals, and accessories such as cross-connectors, shall be installed in accordance with the tenninal
manufactures instructions. Topworx Incorporated will supply the relevant tenninal manufacturer's instructions
with each assembly covered by this certificate.

6. The maximum voltage and current shown on the rating label must not be exceeded.

7. When connecting conductors of cross section below the maximum 2.5mm2 allowed for the terminal then the
maximum amps per pole must be reduced inline with the maximum amps pennitted for a terminal equivalent to
the conductor size fitted.
