Lesson Objectives
• Categorise the fruit of the spirit into physical and internal feelings
• Compare the colours used in the first lesson to the colours used in this lesson
• Write a response to the discussion question

Time Motivation and Introduction:

Envelopes
1. Once students are quietly seated on the mat hand out the mystery
envelopes to the students
2. Once each student has an envelope ask the students what we looked at
in the previous lesson
• Responses should be something like “the difference between
inner and outer feelings” Whiteboard

3. Spin the white board around to reveal two columns reading physical
and internal
4. Choose students who are showing whole body listening to open their
envelopes and stick their emotion/feeling on the board
5. There are enough cards for all students and contained in the cards are
the fruit of the spirit, other cards are different feelings
12:05pm 6. Once all the cards are on the board ask the students if anyone can
recognise anything (FoS)
7. Once a student identifies the fruit of the spirit ask the students why God
gave them to us

Lesson Steps (Lesson content, structure, strategies & Key Questions):

1. Inform students that they are going to have a choice of pictures to
colour in
2. Students need to colour the page using colours they think are
representative of the feelings we get from God (FoS) Colouring in sheets
3. Place down the three-different colouring in sheets for students to
choose (see resource page)
• Instruct the physically disabled student to use their ipad to

4. Once the students have their sheet they can go to their desk and start
colouring
• Students are to work individually
• If the noise level begins to rise, prise a student/s who is
modelling your ideal behaviour
5. Students who are not showing pride in their work will be asked to start
again

Lesson Closure:(Review lesson objectives with students)

1. Instruct the students to come to the mat and bring their drawing with

chose the colours they did

for the first drawing to today’s drawing

1. Students are seated on the mat after packing away their sheets into their
religion book

Assessment: (Were the lesson objectives met? How will they be assessed?)

1. An informal, summative observation of the completed check list can be


made to determine the success of the table

2. An informal, formative observation with anecdotal note can be used to


determine whether the students were able to compare the two drawings

3. A formal, summative review of the student’s submissions on one note


can be done to accurately determine the quality of the response to the
discussion question.
